Inspirations: Hobby House's Camilla and Marissa Collection (Part One)

By Rachael Carver - March 18, 2018

I'm so excited to bring you this inspiration post. I saw these on Create & Craft last summer and was really annoyed that I didn't give in and purchase them. I do try and avoid TV purchases as it can lead to bad things when you're a craft addict.

I've split this set into my own two categories. Rather than the Camilla and Marissa sets, This post is dedicated to the die cut toppers of Alyssa and Clara (included within the Camilla and Marissa kit). I'll upload the Camilla and Marissa (floral) creations in another post soon!

The quality of this kit is pretty good. The card stock itself is nice and heavy, but I'm not quite sure of the finish on the toppers. Some of the toppers were an unusual rectangular size - very slender, which I found a bit off putting, using only one in my creations. It is also worth noting that, unlike with the floral toppers where you receive two sheets of each die-cut pages, you only get one set of toppers for each of the girls. Regardless of this, I do love the kit as a whole. The papers are wonderfully designed, to the most, and therefore it's been really enjoyable creating the creations below.

Most have been used with the contents of the kit and a hand full of pearls,  but I couldn't help but make a gift box and gate card, just to demonstrate how wonderfully versatile these toppers are, and a little bit of die-cutting myself.
To make the cards below, you will need:

  • 8" x 8" cards
  • 6" x 6" card
  • 7" x 10" card
  • 12" x 12" card (gift box)

  • Cutting Mat
